POSITION: Lecturer positions in the Department of Anthropology for the 2010-11 academic year
DESCRIPTION: Pending administrative approval, the Anthropology Department anticipates openings in upper- and lower-division courses in Archaeology, Biological, Sociocultural and Linguistic Anthropology, which may include:

Anthropology 4 - Introduction to Anthropological Linguistics, Fall
Anthropology 15 - Behavioral and Evol. Biology of the Human Life Cycle, Spring
Anthropology 32 - Drugs, Science and Culture, Spring
Anthropology 50 - Evolution and Human Nature, Spring
Anthropology 101 - Ecology, Nature and Society, Winter
Anthropology 126B - Women and Development, Fall
Anthropology 127 - Urban Anthropology, Winter
Anthropology 128A - Kinship and Social Organization, Winter
Anthropology 129 - Health and Medicine in a Global Context, Fall
Anthropology 136 - Ethnographic Film, Spring

In addition to teaching duties, must hold regularly scheduled office hours a minimum of two hours per week to provide the opportunity for consultations with students outside of the classroom.
QUALIFICATIONS: Ph.D., college and university teaching experience preferred with demonstrated effective teaching in course to be taught.
SALARY: Contingent upon qualifications and experience. Percent of employment is determined by number of courses taught.
DATES AVAILABLE: Fall Quarter 2010: September 20 through December 10, 2010
Winter Quarter 2011: January 3 through March 19, 2011
Spring Quarter 2011: March 24 through June 9, 2011
