The 2019 UC Davis Archaeological Field School will take place in the Puno region of the southern Andes Mountains, Peru from June 25 - August 6, 2019. The field school allows students to get their hands dirty and gain valuable experience for advancing careers in archaeological research and cultural resource management. This five-week course will expose students to archaeological survey and excavation techniques and field trips to local archaeological sites, museums, and other places of interest.

Students will receive four units of UC Davis academic credit under ANT 181L. UCD students are also required to register for Introduction to field methods (ANT 181) offered in the Spring quarter. This 4 unit course offer preliminary training that will allow you to hit the ground running when you arrive at the field site in the summer. UC Davis students are also strongly encouraged to enroll in Andean Prehistory (ANT 175), also offered in the spring quarter.
